Emily Lloyd is the owner and designer of this fitness concept. With a degree in Marketing from Virginia Tech and a masters in Health Programming from the University of Pittsburgh, Emily has the background and knowledge to bring the fitness industry the workouts it needs and deserves! "There's a lot of nonsense out there, I've travelled to hundreds of studios the past few years. Some of them have workouts with the most random exercises that serve no purpose other than staying active, but the flashing lights and shine makes them the coolest around. Then there are some places that have great workouts, but no sparkle or fun that would make it appeal to the average consumer. At Karma my goal is to bring you both!"
We all go through times in our life that challenge us in ways we never thought possible. At the time when I decided to open my own gym, I was nervous but also excited to start this new adventure. This gym means everything to me and when thinking of a name I wanted something that would have more meaning than the average gym. My best friend helped me come up with the name Karma, and as soon as she said it I knew that was it! Karma is a concept that refers to the consequences of one's actions. In terms of fitness, karma is the idea that the effort and actions we put into our fitness routine will ultimately determine our physical and mental well-being. Along with if you are a good person and put good out into the world, you will receive the same in return.

All you need to take class is comfortable workout clothing, clean sneakers, and a smile. We have gloves available to rent for $5 or for purchase.
Yes, we have certified personal trainers available for one-on-one sessions and small group training. You are able to schedule a session online or come see us at the front desk to get started today.
Our workouts are programmed for you to be able to take class consecutive days in a row. The exercise selection varies so that your muscles have time to repair and recover. We do encourage rest days or active recovery, which is what we dedicate for on Sundays.
Our expert coaches are trained to accommodate all fitness levels. The coach will walk everyone through the class format, show the exercises, and assist with form. The best part about our classes is that it is your own workout but in a group atmosphere for motivation and support, you can take everything at your own pace.
